Rexine's BBQ Beef

12 pounds brisket beef
16 oz tomato sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp Worchestershire sauce
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1/4-1/2 tsp liquid smoke
whole pickling spices (wrapped in cheese cloth)

Put meat in crockpot and cover with sauce.
Cook at 250 degrees for 8 to 10 hours.  Remove meat

Aunt Kay's recipe
1 cup chicken broth
2 cans cream of chicken soup
2 cups cooked, cut up chicken

Serve over rice.

Possible toppings:
Chinese noodles, bacon bits, pineapple chunks, mandarine oranges, sliced green onions, chopped celery, chopped carrots, chopped green peppers, diced tomatoes, strawberries, coconut, sliced almonds, sliced olives, diced hard boiled eggs, grated cheese, cooked peas, etc.

Aunt Dawn's Hot Fudge Sauce

2 cups sugar
4 Tbsp flour
4 Tbsp cocoa
4 Tbsp butter
1 can evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla

Mix sugar, flour, and cocoa well over medium heat.  Slowly add butter and evaporated milk.  Turn up the heat to a boil.  Boil for 3 minutes.  Remove from heat and add vanilla.

Grandma Julie's spaghetti sauce

3 - 6 oz cans tomato paste
6 buds garlic (finely chopped)
3 - 8 oz cans tomato sauce
4-5 quarts tomatoes
6-7 bay leaves
1 1/2 tsp thyme
1 Tbsp basil
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
2 1/2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp oregano
1 Tbsp parsley
optional - canned mushrooms, green peppers
2 pounds browned hamburger or mild Italian sausage

Cook tomato paste and garlic for 15 minutes, stirring a lot. Add the rest of the ingredients (minus meat) and cook for 5-7 hours with lid cracked.  (Works great in crock pot).  Add meat and cook 2 more hours.

Grandma Eagar's Field and Stream Jerky

Cut meat into long thin strips and sprinkle lemon pepper and garlic powder (same as you would for salt and pepper amount).
Put into bowl and cover with soy sauce just to top of meat.
Marinate 2-6 hours.
Line bottom of oven with foil.
Hang over oven racks and drape down (can touch).
Cook at 150 degrees for 12 hours.
Remove and store in dry place in cloth bag.
Keeps for 1 year.

Rhubard Cobbler

From Grandma Ruth

6 cups cup rhubarb
1 cup sugar
1 6 oz  red Jello
1 cup cold water
1 pkg cake mix
1 cub butter melted

Place ingredients in 9x13 pan in order listed.  Bake for 45-60 minutes at 375 degrees.

1 cup 7-up
1 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp horseradish
1 1/2 Tbsp garlic powder

Turkey breast (6-8 pounds)
